My favorite everyday Turkish snacks!

One my my favorite parts of the #MountainAndSeaRetreat is officially here– putting snacks in everyone’s rooms. I am obsessed with hospitality and snacks, so this is a true passion overlap. Here’s what I love to take with me on trips to the beach, or excursions to the city where I just know I won’t be able to make it home before I’m super hungry.

Now, if you know me you know my obsession with snacks and cake. And an overall excitement about any sort of food that is specific to any region.

But I also need to keep my strength up! I don’t have a car here and I’m often out and about and all of sudden I’m super hungry. Or sometimes I’m up a little too late reading every New York Times article Roxane Gay has written and I realize I skipped dinner.

This is why I have snacks. They’re fun. They’re necessary. And I am not going to let a bunch of humans arrive to Turkey without trying all my favorite things.

Today, I packed up all the snacks I’ll put in each person’s room for my first official creative coaching retreat. And honestly, I’m a little jealous of these people. I remember when I first got to Turkey and how magical everything was. It’s still magical to me, but there’s something about your first week here that just mesmerizes you!

My Favorite Snack Mix–

  • Dried Apricots

  • Dried Cherries

  • Pistachios

  • Whole Raw Hazelnuts

  • Dried Figs

  • Walnuts

  • Crispy chickpeas

  • Dates

  • Peeled Almonds

I am really excited to introduce my guests to this beautiful country. It will be so surreal to sit around sipping Turkish Tea and learning about everyone’s biggest hopes for their future!
